Detailed Synopsis[]
The trio spend the entirety of this episode composing, debating, and dismissing a number of plans for what to do next.
Chaz gathers a number of druids to go with him, Se’ku, and Talice to try to find a way to either cleanse or stop the progression of the curse on the wood surrounding the Evergrove.
Talice mostly spends time cutting down all the plans, reminding them of their past encounters with various iterations of the curse. Eventually, the mysterious voice in her head intrudes and claims it knows the only way to stop the curse.
For the first time, Talice engages with the voice, asking what it knows. The voice tells her the only way to stop the curse is to kill the Allmother.
Talice relays this info to the group, and they abandon their half-thought plan to try to cleanse the trees.
Instead they then start discussing at length whether or not the druids are safe to remain in the Evergrove while the trio attempt to locate and kill the Allmother. A lot of the conversation revolves around where the druids would be most safe, and if Mizula can or should be moved with them.
Chaz converses with Mizula telepathically. Mizula thinks she can maintain the integrity and safety of the Evergrove against the curse for about a week. Chaz thinks that’s a reasonable amount of time for them to find and slay the Allmother, but Talice vehemently disagrees.
Talice points out they’ve spent more than a week on Euphemia’s quest and have yet to deliver even a single letter, and that quest is more straightforward than finding the Allmother. She also reminds them of the confusion and difficulty they had navigating the Wayward Wilds last time, when all they were trying to do was collect some mushrooms.
Eventually they finally settle on a plan to move the Druids to Se’ku’s White Fang Monastery for refuge while they hunt the Allmother.
